Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT)
Our clinic is now offering the Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT) for dealing with allergies. The treatment process places fine, small needles in the ear to help the body clear up the overactive immune response.
How it works
We use muscle testing to determine immune system stress. Muscle testing is a widely used technique to gauge bio-energetic sensitivity/weakness to substances. Patients may treat confirmed and suspected allergies via this approach. If we determine a sensitivity through the muscle test, an electric point finder is used on the ear to locate a reactive point to that substance. We then place a needle and re-test to see if the muscle test response has improved.
Once we have determined a positive response to our needle placement, we cover the small needle with small adhesives and look to retain the needle(s) for THREE weeks. Yes, this is close to a month of time, so please take that into account when considering when to schedule a treatment.
Cost
Currently we are charging $75 per treatment (likely to increase in the fall of 2026). This includes initial testing for potential sensitivities to the products involved in treatment (e.g., needles and adhesive materials), mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) and overall histamine stress. We do this to ensure the body can tolerate the process of treatment and to help clear any ongoing immune stress that will potentially impact allergy symptoms generally.
We can then also test for up to 3 other allergies during the treatment. Be aware that while we can test for a lot of things, we can only test with what we have–though you can bring a substance of your own if you have it. Please contact us beforehand about specific allergens you would like to treat, especially if it is not a common allergen. We are usually happy to order up new substances.
That initial treatment cost will also include a follow-up at three weeks to re-test and a re-setting of needles if they happen to fall out before the 3 week period. NOTE: re-setting the needles requires us to start the 3 week period.
Scheduling
We are asking patients to schedule online during our private appointment times (these are usually the beginning of a shift) and select the “SAAT allergy treatment” option. These will be available on Mike’s schedule. If those time slots do not work with your schedule, please contact our office directly as we will have to block off enough time during our community shifts.
