Soliman Auricular Acupuncture Treatment
The Soliman Auricular Acupuncture Treatment (SAAT) is a dynamic treatment. The testing and treatment processes use energetic muscle testing to determine allergens or sensitivities and locate points for treatment. It helps correct the overactive immune response to allergens and prevent or improve the negative body responses (e.g., mucus production, headaches, skin irritation, etc.)
What allergens are tested?
This approach uses homeopathic solutions of a wide variety of substances and often sub-parts within those substances—egg whites vs egg yolks, for example—to gauge sensitivity during the testing. As the treatment depends on the results of the muscle testing, patients can test for both known and suspected allergens. Please check with us beforehand if we have specific items. If not, we are ordering new solutions often and can probably get it soon.
Nuts and Bolts of treatment?
We begin treatments with an assessment of sensitivities to the products involved in the treatment—needle material, liquid adhesive and small bandages. These elements, like potential allergens, are tested with energetic muscle testing. Simply put, we have the patient hold a substance and then check for weakness in a muscle/joint complex, very often the shoulder. If a substance is stressing the body, we will generally observe a weakness in that body region being tested. If the muscle fails, then we look for a point in the ear—preferably the right ear, but can be the left—with an electric point finder. As we identify the point we re-test and check for an improvement on that muscle/joint resistance with the placement of a needle.
When a point is found, a small 3mm needle is placed in the ear and covered. This needle should stay in place for 3 weeks. Please take that time element into consideration when scheduling treatments. A regular visit can treat up to 4 allergies at a time.
How Well Does this Work?
Like most things in the acupuncture world, no one is quite certain. In a retrospective review of patients treated for alpha-gal allergies with the SAAT approach, a remission rate of 96% was observed. There are limitations to interpreting those numbers, but it does point to the fact that a number of people actively seeking treatment saw a positive response for their symptoms.
Cost?
As this is a new service at our office, we are charging the following. Pricing for initial treatments will change by mid-late September 2026.
- New SAAT patient treatment – $75 (+$10 if new to LCA) for testing – this also includes a follow up at 3 weeks (this follow up will do a re-test and re-set of needles if necessary)
- General SAAT follow-up – $75 per treatment (up to 4 allergies)
